What facilities are on site?
Camping facilities have been fitted in a barn on site to an excellent standard. These include a shower room, a separate toilet and washroom. A kitchen/diner with an electric cooker, microwave, and fridge freezer.
There is a fully renovated, self-contained cottage on site. It has a kitchen/diner with wood burner and electric radiator, free standing gas cooker and fridge with ice box. A downstairs shower room and a separate toilet with sink. A sofa that can adapt to a double bed. Upstairs there are 2 bedrooms (2 single beds in each bedroom) with electric radiators. Plus an English sky free view TV & radio, and Playstation 2 for DVD's, CD's and games.
There is also a small tackle and bait shop on site, with some items available to hire.How close are the shops?
There is a small supermarket just a 10 minute drive away.
In Gueret there is a good selection of supermarkets and a hypermarket. Gueret is a 20 minute drive.
Also a small grocery van that sells bread stops in the village at lunchtime.Can I use a boat?
Yes, bait boats may be used sensibly.
There are also 2 small rowing boats for the anglers to use again sensibly.Are there Poisson Chat or Crayfish?
There are no Poisson Chat. There are very few Crayfish which have never marked hookbaits.How much bait will I need when Carp fishing?
Best results in the past have come from fishing for one fish at a time. Depending on weather conditions up to 1 kg of bait around each rod. Baiting for the carp a mixture of boilies, pellets and particle.
Best results for catfish are my pellets, just a hand full spread out and 1 fished on my pellet lasso rig. Live baits caught from here also work.How hard is the fishing?
The carp and cat fishing can be easy to moderate depending on how they are feeding and also your choice of bait and tactics.
