Simon from Bedfordshire caught Etang de Azat-Chatenet's first 50lb+ carp. The weather was not good with the conditions being cold and wet but he was rewarded with this 50lb 12oz mirror carp. It was caught on a white chocolate boilie.
June 2017
Congratulations Barry Scarfe with your personal best and new lake record Grass Carp weighing at 52lb. It was caught on Thursday 8th June 2017 late in the night at 23:40.
There have been a few grass carp captures to over 54lb+ but because they have not been witnessed and weighed by myself I feel I cannot add this to Official fishing lake records page. There are currently 2 different grass carp over the 51lb+ mark that vary in weight from between 50lb and 54lb.
May 2019
Congratulations to Iain Spence for catching this beautiful lake record common carp weighing 40lb 12oz. He caught this fish on a 10mm pellet using the pellet lasso rig that was fished at long range. This common carp lake record was caught on the 12th May 2019 at 19:00.
There are also gold metallic common carp and silver metallic to over 40lb+.
May 2018
Iain from Berkshire caught this beautiful 31lb 4oz koi carp on 17th May 2018.
There have been a few Koi carp captures to over 34lb + but because they have not been witnessed and weighed by myself I feel I cannot add this to Official fishing lake records page.
May 2008
Fred from Bedfordshire caught this 83lb catfish on his first visit here in May 2008. He was using a roach live bait fished on the surface.
There have been a lot of catfish captures to over 111lb+ but because they have not been witnessed and weighed by myself I feel I cannot add this to Official fishing lake records page. Numerous catfish have been caught between 80lb and 90lb and some between 90lb and 100lb. There have also been 5 reports of captures over the 100lb to 111lb+.
July 2022
Congratulations Alexis for catching the biggest mandarin catfish here, measuring 1.5 metres and weighing 55lb. It was caught on 25th July 2022.
