Etang de Azat-Chatenet is in the Creuse region of Limousin. The nearest town Guéret is about 20 minutes drive, where there is a good selection of supermarkets, a hypermarket, shops and a traditional French market. There is also a small supermarket just a 10 minute drive away.

The nearest airport is Bellegarde in Limoges, Ryanair and Flybe operate direct flights from Great Britain, and can also arrange car hire. It is a one hour drive from Limoges to Azat-Chatenet.
